Recently, Reddit user PirateKeanu (we love your handle so much!) rediscovered their love of ants on a log. "It has been way too long my old friend..."
Ants on a log, the old-school kid snack of celery sticks filled with peanut butter and topped with raisins, is so simple and so satisfying -- as long as you don't hate celery. It got us to thinking about the childhood snacks we are still totally hung up on. For me, it's grilled cheese all the way. Nothing sets me at ease like melty cheese between slices of griddled, buttered bread. These comfort foods re-charge us when we need them, give us nostalgic feelings of home and, as an added bonus, are usually really easy to pull together. We asked you guys which childhood snacks you come back to time and time again. As always, you did not disappoint.
Which childhood snacks have stood the test of time for you? Let us know in the comments!
